One discipline. Three shapes of engagement.
Calder Talent does not send juniors, does not sell reports that sit in drawers, and does not stay longer than the work needs. However you engage us, the same discipline runs the work.
Structured briefs. Scored decisions.
Evidence over opinion.
Every piece of our work starts by writing down what is actually being decided and what good would look like, before any candidates, tools or opinions arrive. Every assessment is scored against that written standard, so the job itself stays the yardstick from first conversation to offer. And every recommendation closes on evidence you can inspect, argue with, and reuse after we leave. That is the whole method. There is no secret behind it; the value is the hard work, done properly, every time.
When the role matters enough,
we run the search.
Retained search, run on the discipline above. The brief is agreed in writing, the scorecard is built before anyone is approached, a researched field is approached personally, and the decision closes on evidence, with support through offer and acceptance. When it closes, the machinery stays with you. Retained only, a few at a time.
How a Calder Talent search runsSenior capacity,
inside your business.
A senior practitioner inside your business, fractionally and monthly: running live roles on your tools, holding the standard on every one, coaching your managers as the work moves. Scoped to the load, and built to leave cleanly when the load eases. No lock-in, no junior learning on your time, no agency layer between you and the person doing the work.
Raise it on the intro callDiagnose. Build. Hand back.
- 01The intro call. Thirty minutes. You describe what hiring feels like from where you sit; we tell you honestly whether the audit will help. If it will not, we say so.
- 02The audit. Three to four weeks, fixed scope, fixed fee. Everyone who touches hiring gets heard. You get the scorecard, the first moves, and the debrief.
- 03The build. If the findings warrant it, a focused sprint on the link that leaks worst: the brief, the interviews, the candidate experience, the follow-through, or the visibility of the whole chain. Built with your people so it keeps working when we leave.
- 04The hand-back. Documentation, training, and a clean exit. Then the ninety-day re-check to prove what moved.
The audit is the product, not the pitch.
Step two is not a look around before the real work. It is a step-by-step diagnosis of every link in how you hire, in writing: every dimension scored from both views, what each gap is costing, and a first move for each weak spot you can make yourself. The audit is built to be valuable standalone.
It closes with a ninety-day plan built as a work plan, not a list of recommendations: every action has an owner inside your business and a definition of done you can check.
See what the audit shows you- Leadership and the operators looking at the same one-page picture, for the first time.
- The real decline reasons on the table, in candidates' own words.
- One process map everyone has signed, with its weak steps named.
From the sample report.
Capability in your business,
not a dependency on ours.
Whichever door you came through, what we build is yours when we leave. The briefs, the scorecards, the interview loops, the documentation, the training: all of it is written to be run by your people without us. The measure of the work is not how it performs while we are in the room. It is what still runs six months after we have left it with you.
Not everything needs an audit first.
Hiring manager training, role briefs and scorecards for a critical hire, an interview structure that actually predicts. If you know exactly what you need, we build exactly that.
